Lift Off for GATE 2020 Cohort !
Ten teams join the GATE and more to come
Yes we have lift off! In 2020 we have switched to a virtual delivery for the commencement of our program. As ag-tech innovation specialists we have relished this challenge. We have evolved our services to offer a bespoke program, delivered by Asymmetric Innovation for our participants with the opportunity for additional teams as the year progresses. These fantastic teams are exploring a diverse range of on-farm, supply chain and agribusiness projects including:

- SmartTrough: Smart simple water sensors (Young)
- YourVetOnline : Remote veterinary support (Sydney)
- Knowhowhere: Integrated task and WHS management for farm workers (Sydney)
- GoMicro :On farm microscopic tech for pest and disease ID (Adelaide)
- Meat quality assessment for individual animals (DPI project lead: Tharcilla Alvarenga and Edwinda Toohey
- Weed DNA tool (DPI project leads: David Gopurenko and Hanwen Wu)
- 3D Meat quality scanning (DPI project lead: : Malcolm McPhee)
- Integrated harvesting system (Hort Innovation project lead: Kerry Walsh)
- Crop counting via remote sensing (Hort Innovation projects: Andrew Robson)
This complements our corporate partner SparklabsCultiv8 Acceleration nine teams from Israel, US and Australia. In total this makes 19 teams - our biggest cohort since starting in 2018. With more teams expected to join later this year.
